Who we are

Pettit Racing is located in Palm Beach, Florida.

For the past 25 years, Pettit have concentrated on rotary engine development, chassis performance, and racing these amazing engines.

Pettit constantly work on new ideas and products. Most of their knowledge is gained from racing experience and input from customers like yourselves. In their full service centre they install all the products they sell and provide additional services including engine building and dyno testing, chassis setup using digital scales, and full race car preparation services.

With over 25 years experience racing Mazda rotary powered cars, they are highly regarded by industry and enthusiasts world wide as the source for technical information and advice. For 10 years their focus on turbo rotary engines and FD series RX-7's has gained them much knowledge and enabled them to be the only race team to have consecutive top finishes with turbo charged rotary engines at venues like the Rolex 24 and the American Le Mans Series races. With the end of the RX7's production run, they have carried our knowledge over to its rotary successor, the RX8, and continue to develop exciting new products for it.

Their new location in West Palm Beach Florida places them midway between three major race tracks; Daytona, Sebring, and Homestead, and also only a few miles from Moroso Motorsports Park, where they do all our track testing. Their state of the art facility houses a complete race car fab shop, machine shop, engine shop, service center, and Dynojet tuning laboratory.

Accolades

Their products are time and track proven, in the most gruelling endurance races:

• Pettit Racing won the GT2 Road Racing Championship in 1998. The car was a 93 Mazda RX7 street car with only bolt-on accessories. At season end Pettit had 140 points - 63 points more than the 2nd place team. This same car finished the Daytona Rolex 24-hour race 4 times, outlasting many factory prepared cars.
• 5 SCCA road racing championships won with Mazda cars.
• Over fifty national races won.
• Numerous top ten finishes in IMSA Supercar and SCCA World Challenge races.
• Their 1988 SCCA IT class RX7 set numerous track records and won 21 races including the SCCA 12 hour endurance race at Sebring.
• Their GT3 class RX7 won 9 SCCA National Races in a row.
• Their SCCA World Challenge RX-7 finished in the top ten at 7 of the 9 events in 1997.
• In drag racing, their street legal 3rd generation RX7 won 7 national events and ran quarter mile times under 9 seconds in 1999.
